It’s time to Fix Fulton.

Bring Back Sanity. Restore Trust. Secure Our Future.

Our county is in desperate need of change, and real change requires new leadership.

“We deserve a leader who stewards taxpayer’s money, protects the vulnerable, leads by looking forward, and follows all of the law, not just the parts deemed convenient.” — Eric Tatum

ERIC’S FIX FULTON PLAN

AFFORDABLE FULTON

We must make Fulton affordable again. Conduct full audits across all major spending areas, rein in property taxes, and ensure taxpayers receive the services they're paying for.

FIX WHAT’S FAILING

Fix the jail crisis. Prioritize Public Safety & Courthouse Funding. Crack down on crime while backing community, building trust between the law enforcement & the neighborhoods they serve.

ABOLISH TRAFFICKING

Make Fulton County a place where predators have nowhere to hide. We must abolish human trafficking.

RESTORE TRUST

We must restore trust in our leadership. Fix our elections processes, ensure our government is accountable to the people it serves, and lead with integrity.

A simplified overview of how Fulton County government is organized and how leadership responsibilities flow.

HOW COUNTY GOVERNMENT WORKS

Fulton County is governed by a seven-member Board of Commissioners. Six commissioners are elected by geographic district, while one chairman is elected countywide to represent all Fulton County residents. Commissioners serve four-year terms, and each year the Board elects a vice chairman from among its members.

The Board works alongside county leadership to oversee major services, infrastructure, budgeting, public safety systems, elections administration, public health initiatives, courts, and long-term planning for one of Georgia’s largest counties.

  • Establishing policies that support the health, safety, and welfare of county residents

  • Adopting and approving the annual county budget

  • Planning for responsible county growth and long-term development

  • Authorizing bond referendums and major capital investments

  • Overseeing countywide services and infrastructure

  • Appointing key county leadership positions, including the County Manager, County Attorney, and County Clerk

  • Supporting essential county services such as public health, libraries, elections, courts, transportation, and community program

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE BOARD

County government impacts our Fulton everyday life more than many people realize — from roads and public health to courts, elections, libraries, and long-term community investment.

MEET ERIC TATUM

Born in DeKalb County and raised in Snellville, Eric is a born-and-bred Georgia man. He was raised in a family of small business owners– his father and grandad– and is convinced that small businesses are, always have been, and always will be, the backbone of our society.

Eric played baseball and studied Economics and Business Administration at Presbyterian College, learning to balance not only small business analytics and formation, but life inside and outside the classroom. He returned to Atlanta to attend law school at Georgia State University and has been a licensed Georgia attorney since 2011.

For nearly 15 years, Eric has practiced primarily family, juvenile, and adoption law. He has served over a thousand metro-Atlanta families in fighting for parental rights. He built a solo practitioner law firm from the ground up and later joined Banks, Stubbs & McFarland, LLP, currently serving as its CFO and Family Law Partner.

Eric is a follower of Jesus Christ and believes that now more than ever, honesty and integrity need to be front and center on the ballot. Eric is not a politician; he is simply someone who believes Fulton County can do better for all of its people. His career– nearly 15 years of practicing law, earning the respect of his colleagues and judges, and working with partners– has proven that honesty, integrity, and truthfulness win, inside and outside the courtroom.

Eric has been married for 11 years and is the proud father of four daughters. Being a husband to Lauren and father to his four girls is the highlight of his life.

A LETTER FROM ERIC

“I believe that now more than ever, honesty and integrity need to be front and center of the ballot box. The people of Fulton County have lost faith in out-of-touch officials and crony capitalism. While I am not a politician, I am a servant. I have served God in my churches, served my family as husband and father, and served my clients as their advocate. Fulton County needs a leader who can reach across aisles– not play politics– and get things done.  I’ve successfully advocated for over a thousand clients in the courtroom; let me show you how I can do it for you in the boardroom. With your partnership, we can restore a government that works for all of us.”
